Who is responsible

Beijing Harvest An Tai International Logistics Co., Ltd. is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. Our office is at Room L999, Hangcheng Plaza, Nanfaxin, Shunyi District, Beijing, China.

What we collect

Two things, and nothing else. When you submit the enquiry form, we receive what you type into it: your name, your company, an email address, the country or region you write from, the cargo category you choose, and the description of your shipment or question. When any page is served, our hosting provider processes the technical request data needed to deliver it and to keep the site available.

There is no account area on this website, no newsletter and no registration. We do not buy contact data from third parties, and we do not ask you for more than the enquiry needs.

Why we use it

Enquiry information is used to understand your request and answer it, and, if it becomes work, to carry that work out. Replying to an enquiry you have sent us is a step taken at your own request, and that is the basis on which we handle it. Technical request data is used to keep the site available and protected.

We do not run marketing campaigns from enquiry data, we do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Put in the terms the General Data Protection Regulation uses, where it applies to you: we handle what you send in order to take steps at your own request before any contract, and to perform one if the work follows. Technical request data we handle in our legitimate interest in keeping this site available and defended against abuse. Neither rests on your consent, so there is no consent for you to withdraw — but you can object to the second, and you can tell us at any point to stop dealing with your enquiry.

Nothing here is decided about you automatically. No profiling is carried out, and no decision that affects you is taken by a machine without a person involved.

Analytics and tracking

No analytics service runs on this site and nothing is placed in your browser to measure you. Our host counts the requests it serves, as every web server does, and we read those counts as daily totals and a list of which pages were opened. No profile of you is built and nothing follows you anywhere else. That is why you are never asked to accept cookies here: there is nothing to consent to. Our cookie notice sets out the detail.

Who else handles it

Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website. Brevo turns your enquiry into an email and sends it to us; Brevo is a French company and that step takes place within the European Union. Neither is permitted to use your information for its own purposes.

The enquiry form writes to no database. Nothing you send is stored on the website itself.

Where it goes

Your enquiry arrives in a company mailbox in China, because that is where the people who answer it work.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, that is a transfer outside your region. China is not the subject of an adequacy decision: it has not been formally recognised as providing an equivalent level of protection. We state this rather than leave it out. The transfer happens because it is necessary to do the thing you asked for: a question cannot be answered by a Chinese customs and logistics company without reaching China.

That necessity is the ground the transfer stands on: it is required in order to take the steps you asked for before any contract, and to perform one if it follows. We do not use your enquiry to send it anywhere else, and no onward transfer is made to a third party for that party’s own purposes.

If you would rather not send your details, telephone us instead and share only what you choose to.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for 24 months from our last contact with you, so that a conversation which resumes can be picked up and so that there is a record of what was discussed. After that it is deleted, unless a longer period is required by an active contract or by the accounting, customs and record-keeping obligations that attach to a particular shipment. Technical request data is kept briefly by our hosting provider for security purposes.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and you can ask us to correct it or delete it. You can also ask us to restrict or stop a particular use, and to give it to you in a portable form. Separately, you may complain to the data protection authority in your own country. We respond within one month.

There is no charge for any of this, and you do not have to give a reason for asking. We may need to check that the request comes from you before we act on it, which for an enquiry normally means writing from the address the enquiry was sent from.

Contact

Write to us at [email protected] or call +86 10 6142 9388, marking the message for the attention of the person responsible for privacy enquiries.

This notice describes the website as it is built today. If we add something that changes any of the above — analytics that uses cookies, a gated download, a chat tool — we update this notice before that service goes live, not afterwards.
